Being a full time working mom to a three-year-old daughter, I can really appreciate the effortless chic style with comfort. The key to obtain the style is to, to me, buy less but quality essential pieces. 

The good thing about essential pieces is that they are so versatile, you can get a lot use out of them. I’m wearing a distressed black tee by Current/elliot from Nordstrom, a pair of skinny black jeans by Citizen of Humanity.

One can argue that essential pieces are plain and boring and expensive (most of the time), so why bother? Well, if you look at them as plain canvases, the possibilities are truly endless. It’s all up to you to imagine how to utilize them conveying your personality or mood at any given day.

I paired the outfit with a pair of Vince kitten heels pumps and a supper fun wristlet by ORA DELPHINE from FIDM Museum & Gallery  Vince’s pumps are simple and modern. Ora Delphine’s wristlet is fun and whimsical. This outfit is perfect for running errands, shopping or hanging out with friends for coffee.

At night, I put on a drippy light-weight trench coat and changed into sleek black suede pumps. Voila,  I’m ready for a dinner date.
