Design is in the details. I believe the same principle can be applied to outfits creation. The shirt + skirt outfit combination is nothing new to most people, but how you put them together will make the difference.

I added a lot of details to this outfit. First, I didn’t button up my shirt all the way down, instead I just used one button and overlapped the rest of the bottom part and tugged it into my skirt to create an asymmetrical layering effect. Second, I picked a blush pink skirt with a asymmetric detail. Third, I used a wrap belt to connect the top and bottom piece together. All the details helped making the otherwise bland looking outfit into a cohesive intriguing outfit.
